Onion Chutney (Red Onion Dip)

The nutrients in onions protect against cancer, fight fungi and bacteria, promote cardiovascular health, reduce high blood pressure and insulin resistance, and aid in weight loss.
This Chutney can be used with all kinds of pancakes.
This is my maternal grandfather's recipe.


Ingredients:
Onion - 1
Grated/desiccated coconut - 2 tbsp
Tamarind piece or lemon juice - 1 tsp
Dry red chilli - 1
Salt
Method :
Chop the onions.
In a blender or mixer, grind onion, coconut, tamarind or lemon juice, dry red chillies and salt to a smooth paste.
Onion Chutney is ready.
