Butter Garlic Prawns

Prawns Butter Garlic, a quick and easy recipe, and a dish which is served in all food joints in Goa, starting from the small shacks on the beach to the biggest and the best of restaurants.
My daughter loves this, and so do all of us.

Ingredients:
Prawns - 500 gms
Garlic - 12 flakes
Butter - 100 gms
Pepper - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Mint leaves - 1 tbsp for garnishing
Lemon juice - 1 tsp for garnishing

Method:
Wash and de-vein the prawns. Drain excess water and keep on a paper towel to remove all the remaining moisture.
Add salt and lemon juice to the prawns and mix well and keep for atleast 10 minutes.
Finely chop garlic and keep aside.
Now take a heavy bottomed pan or wok and add butter, and then add the garlic.
Fry till translucent, around 1 minute.
Now add the prawns and fry till the color of all the prawns changes to orangish pink.
Now sprinkle pepper and mix well.
Garnish with mint leaves and lemon juice.
Serve hot.

The excess butter garlic sauce can be used to dip bread while eating the prawns. It goes as a good accompaniment.
