"Sali Boti" is a very popular Parsi mutton dish, which is easy to make and very yummy.
Goes well with any kind of bread.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
Mutton - boneless cubes - 1/2 kg
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Jaggery - 1 tbsp
Turmeric/ haldi powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp
Red kashmiri chilies - 3 to 4 - finely chopped
Dry apricot - 7 to 8 pieces, soaked in warm water
Onions - 5 big - finely chopped
Salt to taste
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Jaggery - 1 tbsp

Ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp
Red kashmiri chilies - 3 to 4 - finely chopped
Dry apricot - 7 to 8 pieces, soaked in warm water

You could even make these at home in 3 simple steps:
1. Peel and grate the potatoes.
2. Pat dry using a kitchen towel.
3. Deep fry till crisp and drain out the excess oil.
Method:
Take a heavy bottomed pan, keep on medium heat, add oil and fry the onions till brown, then add ginger garlic paste and all the dry masalas, red kashmiri chilies,apricots and mutton and saute over low flame till the mutton is dry and well coated with the masala.
Add a little water and cook for 30 minutes in pressure cooker. When done stir in the vinegar and serve hot with Sali(thin fried potato chips) sprinkled over it.
Serve this dish with bread or chapattis.
