Mutton Chilly

Sorry but its been a while since I posted this picture, but somehow was so caught up with work...that I forgot to post the recipe...

Here it goes...

Serves 3
Ingredients:
Mutton - 1/2 kg
Green chillies - 5 whole + 5 sliced thin
Ginger - 1 inch + 1 inch sliced thin
Garlic - 6 cloves + 6 cloves sliced thin
Black cardamom - 3
Bay leaf - 2
Cloves - 5
Oil - 1 tsp
Tamarind - 1 piece
Onion - sliced - 1 large
Black salt - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:
Take a shallow pan, add 1/2 tsp oil, fry the black cardamom, bay leaves and cloves for 2-3 minutes till they give out a nice aroma.
Now grind these fried ingredients along with 5 green chillies, 6 garlic cloves and 1 inch ginger and tamarind along with a little water to a smooth paste.
Now take a cooker, add 1/2 oil, fry the sliced onions, sliced green chillies, sliced garlic and ginger till onions are translucent and soft.
Now add the ground to the ingredients frying in the cooker, and continue to fry for about 2-3 minutes.
Now add salt, black salt and the mutton pieces and fry for another 3-5 minutes.
Add 1 cup water, close the cooker and cook on high heat till 1st whistle, then lower whistle and cook for about 25 minutes and switch off the heat.
Allow to cool and then open the cooker, if there is some liquid left in the cooker allow the liquid to evaporate by keeping the cooker on medium heat and stirring occasionally till the liquid almost evaporates.
Serve hot garnished with a slit green chilly.
