Butter Garlic Corn on the Cob

Butter Garlic Corn on the Cob, is a quick and easy recipe, and a dish which goes well as an accompaniment with any grilled food.
It can also be eaten as it is, My daughter loves this, and so do all of us.

Ingredients:
Corn on the Cob - 1 large - cut into 3 portions
Garlic - 12 flakes
Butter - 50 gm
Pepper or Red chilly flakes - 1 tsp ( I have used Re chilly flakes here)
Salt - to taste

Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Mint leaves - 1 tbsp for garnishing (Optional)

Method:
Par-boil the corn on the cob portions in a large vessel full of water for about 10 minutes. Alternately you could boil them in a cooker for 5 minutes.

Drain excess water and keep on a paper towel to remove all the remaining moisture.
Add salt and lemon juice to the corn on the cobs and mix well and keep for atleast 10 minutes.
Finely chop garlic and keep aside.
Now take a heavy bottomed pan or wok and add butter, and then add the garlic.
Fry till translucent, around 1 minute.
Now add the corn pieces and fry for a few minutes,

Now sprinkle pepper or red chilly flakes as per your liking and mix well.
Garnish with mint leaves if you have.
Serve hot.

The excess butter garlic sauce can be poured over the grilled food with which this is being served.

Or you could dip bread in this sauce and have the corn !!
It goes as a good accompaniment.
