Raw Mango Chilli Chutney (Mango Chilli Sandwich Spread)

Raw Mango, with salt and chilli powder brings back childhood school memories.
The mango season has just begun, specifically RAW MANGOES.
This spread/chutney I learnt from my childhood friend's mom, who used to live next door.
She would make this chutney and spread it along with butter on sandwiches.
I still cannot forget the taste of the yummy sandwiches she would make.
This dish has 2 variants :
Variant 1.  A spread for Sandwiches.
Variant 2. the traditional Indian chutney eaten with rice, rotis, dosa.
Ingredients:
Mango - 1 small cut into small pieces
( preferably thothapuri )
Dry Red Chillies roasted - 6-8 ( depending on taste )
Jaggery - size of 1/2 a lime
Coconut grated - 1 handful
Salt to taste

Extra Optional ingredients for seasoning for Variant 2 :
Olive/any other oil - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
curry leaves - 4 leaves
Hing/Asofoetida - 1/4 tsp

Method :
Grind all the above ingredients along with a lil water into a paste. Garnish with mint leaves.

Variant 1 :
The spread for Sandwiches is ready - This can be used as a spread along with butter or cheese.
If you do not have fresh coconut you can use desiccated coconut available in all grocery stores/super market.
If you do not want to use coconut at all, u can still make the spread without it.

Variant 2 :
Heat oil in seasoning pan, add mustard, when the splutter, add hing and curry leaves.
Will lightly fried pour on the Spread/Chutney and mix well.
This goes well with Dosas, Rotis and Rice/Rasam/Sambhar.
